STUDENT APPLICATION PROCEDURE
PHASE-1:
ACCEPTANCE ON A COURSE
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
The
application procedure at LCMS
is designed to be as straightforward
as possible:
A prospective student may
obtain the college prospectus
and application form directly
from the college website or
by request through the post.
Having selected the course
they wish to follow, the student
must firstly ensure that they
meet the specified entry requirements.
The completed application
form should then be submitted
to the college together with
the following items: |
|
| |
| – |
Two
passport sized photographs.
|
| – |
Copies
of qualifications: an
official body should
attest these; otherwise
the original documents
must be provided on
arrival.
|
| – |
Payment
of the registration
fee (£50) and
minimum deposit of £500 or £1000 on BBA & PGDMS, £1500 on the MBA and £2500 on the DBA programmes. |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
The
college will then issue documentation
to confirm that the person
has been accepted as a student
at LCMS and enrolled on the
course selected.
The remaining balance of the
tuition fees will be payable
in a maximum of three installments
(unless by alternative arrangement
with the college) and must
be paid before the start of
the second term of the course
year.
Students applying from overseas
may transfer the payment of
their course fees directly
to the college bank account
as below: (the transfer document
should also be faxed to the
college)
London
College of Management Studies
Natwest Bank
Greenwich Business Centre
2 Greenwich Church Street
Sort-code: 60-09-16
Account No: 73526886
If necessary, documentation
can be provided for bank purposes
only on payment of the registration
fee (£50). This will
confirm that the prospective
student will be accepted on
the course selected on payment
of the appropriate deposit
but will not confirm enrolment
and cannot therefore be used
for visa application. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
PHASE-2:
STUDENT VISA |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Students
with EU passports will not
require a visa to enter the
U.K.
Students from overseas must
first contact the local British
High Commission or Consulate
to ascertain whether they
need to obtain a student entry
visa before coming to the
U.K.
The British High Commissions
and Consulates across the
world are generally pleased
to assist genuine students
who intend to undertake a
course of full-time study
in the United Kingdom.
Prospective students who do
need to apply for a student
visa locally must first obtain
Form IM2A (application for
United Kingdom Entry Clearance)
from their local
British Consulate Immigration
section.
The following items
will need to be included with
the completed application
form. |
|
| |
| – |
A
valid passport.
|
| – |
Two
passport-sized photographs.
|
| – |
The
final Letter of Acceptance
from the London College
of Management Studies
confirming enrolment
on the chosen course,
the start and finish
dates of the course
and the payment of tuition
fees. Although this
letter can be issued
on payment of the registration
fee and appropriate
deposit, intending students
are strongly advised
to pay the full course
fees in advance.
|
| – |
Confirming
that all tuition fees
and living expenses
will be met during the
student’s stay
in the U.K., via financial
statements or a letter
from a sponsor. |
| – |
Confirmation
and details of accommodation
in London. |
| – |
Provisional
date of departure and
flight details. |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
The
visa application form should
then be submitted to the local
British High Commission or
Embassy together with the
visa application fee as specified.
A date will then be given
for an interview at which
it is very important that
a prospective student has
full knowledge of the content
of the chosen course and can
provide reasons for studying
that course in London in terms
of future career benefits
etc.
Students from non-EU countries
who have been advised by the
local British High Commission
or Consulate that they may
travel to the U.K. and apply
for their student entry visa
from the immigration authorities
at their point of arrival
must confirm the documents
that will be required.
The following documents
are generally required: |
|
| |
| – |
A
valid Passport
|
| – |
The
final Letter of Acceptance
from London College
of Management Studies
confirming enrolment
on the chosen course,
the start and finish
dates of the course
and the payment of tuition
fees. Although this
letter can be issued
on payment of the registration
fee and appropriate
deposit, intending students
are strongly advised
to pay the full course
fees in advance.
|
| – |
For
sponsored students,
a letter from the sponsor
giving their full details
and confirming that
all tuition fees and
living expenses will
be met during the student’s
stay in the U.K.
|
| – |
Confirmation
and details of accommodation
in London. |
