The ABE Business Management programme provides
a professional qualification that may be used
to prepare directly for a career in business,
or to gain advanced entry onto a range of professional
qualifications and university business courses
in the UK and other countries. The programme provides
students with an appreciation of the theoretical
issues currently involved in the study of business
and a wide range of practical skills, which will
enhance their value to potential employers. Major
themes running throughout the programme include
Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing and
IT.

MANAGEMENT
There are

ABE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
(PARTS 1 & 2)
The Diploma in Business Management enables students
to secure entry to the second year of many undergraduate
business studies degree programmes. Diploma examination
papers are set and marked to BTEC National Diploma
standards.
The Diploma comprises two parts of equal
standing.
PART I - Four
compulsory subjects

3. Economic Principles and their Applications
to Business
4. Quantitative Methods for Business and Management |
PART
2 - Three compulsory subjects
1.
Human Resource Management
2. Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication

Course

One year full-time
Entry requirements:
Applicants must have attained one of these following
qualifications:
. ABE Certificate in Business Management
. Two GCE 'A' levels together with four GCSEs
at Grade C or above, including English language
and mathematics.
. An 'Access' Certificate from a UK College of
Further Education.
On satisfactory completion of the nine Diploma
subjects students can proceed to the Advanced
Diploma. Students may commence the Advanced Diploma
when they have seven passes at Diploma level but
must sit the examinations for the remaining two
subjects in the same session as their first Advanced
Diploma examinations. If there is a clash of dates
on the timetable the Diploma subjects must be
sat leaving the Advanced Diploma subject(s) until
the next examination session. The Advanced Diploma
will not be awarded unless the Diploma has been
completed.
ABE ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS
MANAGEMENT
The Advanced Diploma enables students with industrial
experience to gain admission to many MBA programmes
and students without industrial experience to
gain admission to the final year of many university
degree programmes. Advanced Diploma papers are
set and marked to a Pass Degree standard.
