Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Today’s businesses demand their managers have a high level of analytical and critical abilities, gained through an understanding of the theory of management, supported by the skills and practical abilities to manage.

Programme Structure
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management comprises three modules. The first two modules are taught and consist of 11 units of 10 credit points giving a total of 110 credits. Students first take seven core subjects, plus four specialist subjects, for each major. After completion of the taught modules students are required to complete a dissertation, which is a self-directed research project and is worth 10 credit points

Course Assessment
The assessment for each subject in the MBA is:
- One examination (weighting 80%)
- One assignment (weighting 20%)
All assignments are set and moderated by the AIBA`s examiners and marked by LCMS`s teaching staff, whereas examinations are set and marked by AIBA examiners.
Please note that students must pass the examination to pass the subjects and the MBA examinations are open book.

Exit Point
The MBA has the following exit points:
- Graduate Certificate in Management (after any 4 of the first 11 subjects are completed)
- Graduate Diploma of Management (after any 8 of the first 11 subjects are completed)
Mode of Delivery
Full and part-time, face to face semesterly based. However students can join in any semester.

Entry Requirements
- A first degree in business related subjects from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualifications.
- BBA or DMS
- Holders of other degree qualifications, not in the business domain, but with management experience can apply in person to the college.
English Requirements
Applicants must also satisfy at least one of following requirements for English proficiency:
- The medium of instruction of applicant’s tertiary studies was in English;
- A score of 525 or better on the TOFEL;
- A score 5.5 or better on the IELTS;
- “A” credit or better in English in the GCE “O” or “A” levels or equivalent; or
- Any other evidence of proficiency in English acceptable to the Institute Registrar.
