|
The CTH Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management concentrates on the operation, delivery, logistical and strategic issues involved in managing a high efficient and successful hotel. An integral part is to encourage students to examine hospitality management from a strategic perspective. The effective strategic management of assets, capabilities and competences help an organization to gain competitive advantage. Students will gain knowledge of, and be able to identify, the key decisions facing hospitality managers and learn to evaluate alternative approaches to the strategic management of these key decision areas.
In addition it is also designed to develop independent research and study skills which will be required when working at senior managerial level in the industry. The scheme has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 contact hours. Wider reading and extensive private study will be required over and above this figure.
The Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international hotel industry. The programme will be of particular interest to those individuals who wish to build and broaden their knowledge of modern business practice.
