“In order to ensure that LCMS students are not placed at a disadvantage when applying for ACCA, the University of London External Programmes and for the PGDMS the college will now require IELTS 6.5 for ACCA, the University of London External Programmes and for the PGDMS. This applies to all new students applying for these programmes at the college except those who have been previously taught via the medium of English.”

ABE -  Certificate NQF Level 3 The Association of Business Executives (ABE) No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English language.
ABE - Diploma NQF Level 5 The Association of Business Executives (ABE)
  • ABE certificate in relevant discipline
  • Two GCE ‘A’ levels together with four GCSEs Grade C or above, including English language and mathematics.
  • An ‘Access’ certificate from a UK College of Further Education or Universities.
ABE - Advanced Diploma NQF Level 6 The Association of Business Executives (ABE)
  • ABE Diploma
  • A degree awarded by a recognised UK or Overseas Universities
  • Other recognised qualifications of approved UK or overseas institutions of Higher Education
ACCA - Professional Scheme NQF Level 7 - Masters Level ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Various means of entry available to take account of differing qualifications and previous experience. For direct entry to the ACCA professional qualification scheme an applicant must be over 18 years of age and possess one of the following qualifications:
  • 2 UK A-level and 3GCSEs (5 separate subjects including English and mathematics)
  • LCCI-3 Higher level passes and 2 Intermediate level passes (5 separate subjects including English and mathematics)
  • CAT (certified accounting technicians) level B/Intermediate level (complete)
  • Degree (from a recognised institutions in any subject)
  • ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance (complete)
Foundation Degree Programme NVQ Level 3 London College of Management Studies
  • A relevant University entrance qualification from their own country, i.e. either an ‘A’ level or equivalent
  • A reasonable command of written and spoken English, for example an overall IELTS score of 5.5 or above.
IAM -  Certificate NQF Level 3 The Institute of Administrative Management (iam)
  • English GCSE/O level grade C or agove (IELTS 5.5)P Maths GCSE/O level grade C.
ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must also satisfy at least one of following requirements for English proficiency:
  • The medium of instruction of applicant’s tertiary studies was English;
  • A score 5.5 or better on the IELTS;
  • ‘A’ credit or better in English in the GCE ‘O’ or ‘A’ levels or equivalent.

NQF Level 7 The Association of Business Executives (ABE) &
The Association of Business Practitioners (ABP)
  • A first degree in business related subjects from a recognised university or institution.
  • HND plus minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Students with a first degree, but not in a business domain, must have at least three years management experience.
  • Students who have no accounting experience may be required to join an introductory accounting class on commencement of the DMS programme.
  • ABE Advanced Diploma or equivalent with three years relevant work experience.
Health and Social Care - Edexcel NVQ Level 3 & 4 NVQ Level 3 & 4 Edexcel No formal qualifications are required. However experience of working with others in a Care setting is desirable. Candidates wishing to do Level 4 must have a Level 3 Certificate to be enrolled.
Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) Level 5 OCNW All candidates will be interviewed by the Centre to ensure that candidates are selected for suitability on the course by meeting the following criteria
  • proof of being capable of meeting the new LLUK professional standards for the learning and skills sector by the end of their course
  • can read and communicate clearly and accurately enough to meet the requirements of their training and the assessment tasks for each unit
  • proof that they do not have a criminal background which might prevent them from working as a teacher with young or vulnerable adults
  • hold a relevant vocational and/or  academic qualification in his/her own area of specialisation
In addition, candidates should ideally have one of the following:
  • A First Degree
  • A professional qualification recognised as being of practitioner level
  • Relevant industrial/commercial experience at an appropriate practitioner level
