LCMS is an out-centre of Anglia Ruskin University

LCMS now offers an MBA Programme LCMS is delighted to announce that it will be becoming an outcentre of Anglia Ruskin University during 2010. This means that as from May 2010 the college will be in a position to offer a 6 month top-up MBA (applications will be accepted for three entry times, May, September and January). This programme although delivered at the college will be overseen, moderated and awarded by Anglia Ruskin University. Anglia Ruskin University has its own business school – the Ashcroft International Business School and is wildly respected as a centre of academic excellence and innovation. Edexcel Accreditation
It is with great pleasure that the Board of Governors of the London College of Management Studies announces its recent approval by Edexcel to offer NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care for Adults starting January 2009.  Edexcel, a Pearson company, is the UK’s largest awarding body offering academic and vocational qualifications and testing to more than 25,000 schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning here and in over 100 countries worldwide. Edexcel qualifications include GCSE, AS and A Level, GNVQ, NVQ and the BTEC suite of vocational qualifications from entry level to BTEC Higher National Diplomas and Foundation Degrees. These NVQs will enable candidates to develop more specialist competencies for use in the health and social care sector. Thames Valley University Affiliation

The long-awaited TVU affiliation is now here! This affiliation means that holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from London College of Management Studies can now be accepted to undergo the Master of Business Administration at the Thames Valley University.
LCMS now offers BA (Hons) in Business Management

London College of Management Studies is now a recognised tuition support provider for the BA (Hons) in Business Management.
The BA (Hons) in Business Management is one of the most popular qualifications in the United Kingdom. The programme aims to provide you with the necessary expertise to critically evaluate business models and concepts and apply them to real-world situations.
In this three years programme the first and second year students will follow certificate to advanced diploma which will be awarded by Institute of Administrative Management (iam) followed by the top up BA (Hons) in Business Management.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to apply your skills to a wide-range of organisations, both commercial and not-for-profit.
Convocation Ceremony 2008!

The London College of Management Studies is proud to announce its second convocation ceremony. The ceremony will be held on 23rd August, 2008 at the Wembley Plaza Hotel. It will be attended by graduands, their family and friends and be graced with the presence of His Worshipful, Cllr John Nickolay the Mayor of Harrow, Honourable Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the Speaker of the Assembly, Nasawara State, Nigeria and representatives from the Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana embassies respectively. The day will culminate in a celebration party at the Mama Calabar Restaurant in Wembley. It will be a day to remember!
PGDMS ABP Accreditation

We are very pleased to announce that our post graduate diploma has been fully accredited by ABP – a branch of the Association of Business Executives (ABE)! This opens doors and windows of opportunity for our students to progress onto several British Universities after completing the course!
Accreditations

The year 2008 has been a year of great challenges and accomplishments for LCMS. A number of prominent accreditations have been attained and we owe this to the staff and students of LCMS that worked with us. BAC Accreditation
Our prize achievement of the year is by no doubt, the BAC Accreditation. LCMS is now accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) for Independent Further and Higher Education. Being on their register opens the door to several opportunities for both the College and our students. ACCA Gold Membership
We are now a Gold Approved Learning Partner - Student Tuition of the ACCA. This means that the ACCA has visited our facilities, reviewed our internal processes and approved us as suitable to offer their qualifications. Well done all! NOCN and LOCN
The National Open College Network and the London Open College Network accreditations approve LCMS to offer Teacher Training and related Qualifications. These new qualifications are now a requirement by the UK government for teachers, tutors and trainers already in or wishing to join the lifelong learning sector and are on offer at LCMS through Open College of North West (OCNW). Thames Valley University (TVU)
To our ever growing portfolio of accreditations, we also have the Thames Valley University (TVU) accreditation which allows LCMS to offer the foundation programme that would provides a suitable entry route to all LCMS students in various disciplines for TVU awards.
Africa Tour

Educational / promotional tours of Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Tanzania were held between the periods of 24th May to 12th July, 2008. Dr Datta and Dr Barima travelled first to Ghana then to Cameroon and concluded their West African tour in Nigeria. Dr Datta then travelled to Tanzania with Mr Soumitra Biswas for the ten day seminar which was a great success!
Dubai Conference

In May 2008, the College hosted delegates from the Nasawara State Assembly at an executive development programme in Dubai. The focus was on legislative leadership and was a great success with the attending delegates.
DBA Workshop

This year, the College had the privilege of hosting Professor Chad Perry of the Gibaran Business School as he conducted a workshop on research methodologies for the DBA students. The professor, in his meticulous ways impressed the students with his vast knowledge and experience and word about the workshop soon spread amongst others that wanted to attend. This was a 7 day workshop which concluded on a high note.
