Education has universally been acclaimed as the harbinger of progress in a society. It helps citizens to make better decisions and it aids in the development of creative and innovative minds - all so crucial to building a society strong in science and technology, the drivers of economic well-being. Indeed, the very emergence of knowledge economies as economic powerhouses of today certifies the importance that is due to education. A major requirement to ensure continued progress in society is to make certain the economy is managed well - that its scarce resources are managed judiciously and with prudence. Scholars the world over have forcefully emphasised this point - that it is through continuous upgrading of resources that the momentum of growth can be sustained. This cements the case for high quality education - management education in particular. And this in turn means that providers of education must be strong enough to produce achievement oriented students who will accept the challenge throughout their working lives to serve society with the welfare of all in mind. It is this management principle that is central to the education system at LCMS – we endeavour to re-engineer and improve education at every opportunity. This ensures that the students graduating from LCMS will be able to enter the competitive business world with confidence and ability while accepting that life-long learning is a fundamental requirement if one is to succeed in the pursuit of a better life. The central parameters of our educational philosophy at LCMS are thus:
- Students are partners, not clients.
- Education must come first, business second.
- Quality must be built into courses through continuous interaction with the marketplace.
- Education must be made affordable and accessible to all.
This philosophy drives all that we do at LCMS and we invite you to join with us as we continue our efforts to produce high quality graduates with a strong understanding of the demands of our competitive business environment.
Thank you,
Crawford Blagden Principal
