Affiliation with MSU
The London College of Management Studies (LCMS) joined the elite when it began to offer the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management in February 2007. What makes this course unique and special is because the accreditation will come from one of the most recognised and well established universities in Russia – Mordovia State University (MSU).
Mordovia State University (MSU) is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Central Russia with over 28,000 students and 1,700 staff. Founded in 1931 and boasting university status since 1957, MSU is ranked in the top ten among the regional universities. Its success is based on the quality and prominence of its scholars as well as its forward-thinking attitude such as the ability to merge within its infrastructure with a number of institutions to its advantage.
MSU is striving to be ahead in the international educational market through the modernisation of its strategy for development. They have established and restructured several services to maintain their competitive edge and preserve the university’s sustainable development. Students who choose to pursue a BSc in management at MSU stand to benefit from a reservoir of knowledge, expertise and experience.
It is by this testimony that LCMS embraces MSU and is excited about the prospects of growing with a giant whose proficiency has stood the test of time and whose vision is about continued success for the future. |

Graduation Ceremony 2007
On 21st July, 2007 LCMS held it’s first ever Graduation Ceremony! Officially titled the Convocation Proceedings 2007. It was an eventful day as the College, its staff, current and prospective students, family and friends gathered to make the Graduands day a memorable one. The afternoon begun with the usual “hiccups” that come with the first organising of an event of this magnitude; but the order out of the chaos was restored before long and the day culminated with the reading out of profile of DBA Graduands. This was the highlight of the event which was met with great applause throughout the Convocation Hall as the students stepped forward after their profile was read. The Proceedings concluded in the early evening after the speeches and awards. The event was a huge success. Well done to all who took part. |

Education Seminar - Tanzania 2007
This year representatives from the London College of Management Studies, visited Tanzania for a few Educational Seminars. The main purpose of the seminars was to inform the Tanzanian students and their families of the prospects of education in the United Kingdom and to promote our College and the courses we offer. The first seminar was held at New Africa Hotel on 16th June, followed by a second seminar at Millennium Tower Hotel on 17th June. The last seminar was held at Zanzibar Alinatu Sheikh Ameir Taju Building on the 18th of June. There was extensive media coverage of these visits.
All the seminars were attended by groups of very eager students from different backgrounds. Dr. Datta, the Vice-Principal of the College represented LCMS and spoke about the merits and de-merits of British education.
The response from the students was overwhelming; the College received hundreds of enquiries from prospective students from all over Tanzania. As a result, the College now boosts a few new and young faces from that beautiful country, and we hope to welcome many more in the months and years to come. |
